Don't Be a Socioeconomic Tourist is part of an ongoing series of ‘Protest’ paintings, in which text is the focus. Inspiration comes from observations, conversations, and thoughts which are noted down - pertaining to northern sensibilites, the lived experience of being a woman in the arts, and being working class.
