Settle is part of an ongoing exploration of digital painting - echoing the loose clean forms and signiature ‘monoline’ aesthetic - but created using only traditional drawing and painting methods, from conception sketch to completed oil painting.
This painting was an opportunity to create an imagined field filled with motifs, adding depth and a sense of weight/weightlessness. Each mark is suspended, it’s trajectory paused.
